Jason Swepson, the artist behind Abstrak Maniak. Starting his career in 2003, Jason attended Barter College in Atlanta, GA to major in the arts. Inspired by Hebru Brantley, and with a natural gift for drawing and detailed eye, he thus become the "Abstrak Maniak". Working in his families' clothing store, "Cherish" he learned the ins-and-outs of branding and designing. From there, he has traveled the country from Atlanta, to St. Louis, to North Carolina, leaving bits and pieces of his art behind for those admired by his talent and unique gift of painting. In 2012, the Abstrak Maniak finally came to New Jersey. Building his brand, Swepson expanded into apparel, designing custom, hand-painted, one-of-a-kind, logo t-shirts, hoodies and hats. Inspired by the likes of Basquiat, Banksy, and Jackson Pollack, Abstrak Maniak launched its boutique gallery in 2021 in Plainfield, New Jersey.
